'My dog saved a little kid': Brave Golden Retriever saves a boy who went missing by barking and alerting her owner, then gets all the pets and praise from the grateful officers

We know that people often think that we are joking when we say that we don't deserve dogs, that dogs are too good to us, that they are the best thing that could happen to us. But we're not. We mean it. Dogs bring so much joy into our lives. They bring us unconditional love. They care for us so much. Dogs would put themselves in harm's way in a heartbeat to save their owners, no matter who they are or what the situation is. Dogs care about humans, so it's fair, in our opinion, to treat them with the love and respect that they deserve.

The golden Retriever in this story… she deserves all the love and respect (and treats) in the world, because she not only cares for her humans, she cares for all of them. This dog saved this boy's life. It is that simple. There is no other way to look at it. She knew that something was wrong with this boy before anyone else did, and she made sure that everyone else paid attention to it as well.

What amazes us the most is the fact that this is not even the family's kid. It does not seem like the dog knew the kid at all. She just sensed that something was wrong, and she knew that she had to do something about it. And thank goodness that she did.

What we also love about this story is that all of the credit was given to the dog - as it should have been. Without her, we don't know if anyone would have noticed the distressed kid in time. The officers petting her and thanking her is what should have happened. And that is pawsome.
